As Sangha Day and Filial Piety Month approach, Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple, North Carolina invites everyone to participate in the meritorious practice of making offerings to the Sangha.
Since its founding, Fo Guang Shan has been supported by countless devotees and benefactors, allowing monastics to dedicate themselves to spiritual practice, sharing the Dharma, and benefiting all beings.
📿 Offerings to the Sangha Chanting

⏰ Daily, 7:00–8:00 AM
🙏 Morning chanting of the Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra (You are welcome to join the chanting with us)
🌸 Filial Piety & Gratitude Kṣitigarbha Dharma Service& Merit Dedication Ceremony for Sangha Offerings
📅 Sunday, August 23⏰ 10:00 AM–4:30 PM
All merits from the Sangha offerings will be dedicated to our supporters and their loved ones during the Dharma service.
Venerable Master Hsing Yun, founder of Fo Guang Shan, taught that making offerings to the Sangha means:
Offering for the whole year, not just one day;
to the ten directions, not just one person;
for the future, not just the present;
and to support spiritual practice, not merely an event.
